By car

Directions from the north: We are located a short drive from the A10, the motorway which runs all the way from Paris to Bordeaux.

Take exit 34 and follow signs to St Jean D'Angely Ouest (west). Here you will go past a retail park with an Intermarche supermarket and a McDonalds on your right. Drive past the retail park heading straight down the hill until you come to a final mini-roundabout where you turn left towards the centre ville (town centre). At the next junction/crossroads DON'T go straight on into the centre ville, instead turn right so that you are on the road which goes around the town centre. You should now pick up signs for Saintes/Cognac which you should follow to a roundabout and then right onto the N150 (sometimes marked as the D150). As you head towards Saintes on the N150 you will pass through a small village called Asnieres-la-Giraud. About 500 metres after Asnieres-la-Giraud there is a small turning on the left which is very easy to miss (it has two white posts with red tops to mark it). Take this left and follow the road into the hamlet. As you come to the centre of the hamlet you will see two huge blue wooden doors on the side of a cream coloured house in front of you with the Mirabelle sign - That's us!

Please note: If you miss the last left turning then take the next left about 200 metres further on and follow the road into the hamlet. We are the first house on the right.

Directions from the south: If you are heading north from the south then take exit 34 and follow the directions above.

If you are coming from Saintes then follow signs for St Jean D'Angely onto the N150. Head towards St Jean D'Angely and after about 10-15 minutes you will go through a village called Saint Hilaire de Villefranche. After this village you should continue on the N150 towards St Jean D'Angely. After a mile, before you get to Asnieres La Giraud, there are two small turnings on your right (200 metres apart) both of which lead into the hamlet of Chez Cornet. We are the big cream coloured house in the centre with huge blue wooden doors on the side and the Mirabelle sign.

By plane

It is possible to fly to La Rochelle, Poitiers or Angouleme from most parts of the UK and Ireland. Bordeaux is further away at 90 minutes drive

As a guide the flight to La Rochelle takes just over 1 hour from London and it is approximately a 45 minute drive to Mirabelle. From the airport follow the signs to the motorway and head south towards Rochefort. Near Rochefort take the exit marked St Jean D'Angely (peage). This is a paid road but costs only 1 euro. Follow signs to St Jean D'Angely and then follow directions in the 'By car' section 'from the north'

The flight to Poitiers and Angouleme takes just over 1 hour and it is approximately a 60 minute drive to Mirabelle (see car directions from the north)

By train

The French railway system is excellent and very fast. It is possible to travel from London St Pancras or Kent to La Rochelle by the French train network (TGV). From La Rochelle you can get a train to Saintes and St Jean D'Angeley or Saint Hilaire de Villefranche.
